Dearest Mahera...

When it comes to describe you, Mahi, I seriously don’t have words. I’m speechless. Yes, you are one of the few people in this world who are ‘lajavab’ for me. Words can’t describe what you mean to me. Still. I will write.

Our ‘rishta’ started last year, in October. I started interacting with you. I began to love Mahi. I used to share everything with you. You, became synonymous with the word ‘family’ for me. Every tweet of yours, gave me a new view to the world.

People came, people left. But you, remained stuck to my life. I thank Allah Ta’alah for this blessing. I grew to know you more and more. I delved deeper into the realms of this lovely being called Mahera, only to discover that there is much more to be fathomed.

Then, on your birthday, last year, I expressed the desire to hear your voice. Lo and behold! Like a Genie in a lamp, you granted this wish of mine too. I felt like Aladdin from a Disney cartoon on that day. Our talk, lasted for an hour. I got to know more about Mahera. I realized that, it’s not just a world in you. There’s a whole of a Universe inside you!

We started talking more often. After each call, I used to come out, as an improved person. I got to learn so many things from you. I saw the world in a new light.

Like an elder, you used to reprimand me about my behavior on twitter. Jab zaroorat padi, mujhe mili chaddi. But, jokes apart, you made me realize the value of people who stay in my life while I was busy lamenting over those who left.

To me, Mahera was, is and will remain, a guide, a torch, a light and a star. Whenever I falter, I know there is someone to kick me first and then, pick me up. I know there is someone, with whom I can be myself.

Well, I see that people have written poems for you. Each of them, lovelier than the other. I wish I could write a poem for you too. Let me try…

Ek ehsaas hai, ek tajurba hai.

Meri Mahera woh inayat hai.
Uggte suraj ki pehli kiran woh.
Chandni ki sheetal roshni woh.

Agar hote bhi labz toh kya batate?

Mahera ki shaan mein kya kehte?
Aisa kuch nahi hai, jo kaha na gaya.
Kuch alag nahi, job hi main kahoonga.

Mahera inn shabdon ki mohtaj nahi.
Mahera toh humari Duniya ka taj hai.
Mahera rab ki niyamat se kam nahi.
Mahera toh ek dua ka naam hai.

I love you loads, Mahi. You, are one of the few awesomest things that God has given me, someone who I will treasure, for life. Happy Birthday. You are a person to be love, for life.
